BREATHWORK
"To tackle complex challenges and make impactful decisions, we must engage not just our mind but our whole body—it’s our greatest untapped resource".
When stress or fear takes over, we can’t just think our way through it. The way we’re wired doesn’t allow it—once the survival brain kicks in, it hijacks our ability to think clearly.
Breathwork connects us directly to our bodies, to our hormones, and to our nervous system. It’s one of the simplest tools available, a natural way to bring ourselves back to calm and focus in just a few minutes.
If we want to build a future where we feel more balanced and capable, we must embrace the power of our breath.
But why isn’t this widely known?
We’ve been taught to control the body with the mind, yet rarely shown how the body can shift the mind.
It’s time to rethink this, to recognize that the mind and body are deeply intertwined and must work together.
Here’s the thing: most of our internal communication flows from the body to the brain. Around 80-90% of the signals go upwards, leaving just 10-20% going the other way. On top of that, we unconsciously process 99% of what we experience. Our conscious mind is just the tip of the iceberg—a tiny 1% of how we understand and respond to the world.
The memories of our struggles and traumas don’t just live in the mind. They’re carried in our muscles, in our organs, in the very systems that keep us alive.
When the survival brain speaks, it doesn’t use words or logic. It communicates through hormones and neurotransmitters, creating sensations and emotions we feel in our core.
So, the most effective way to handle stress and regulate emotions isn’t through overthinking—it’s by engaging with the body. Breathwork allows us to shift what’s happening at the survival level, helping us move from chaos to clarity. It’s a skill we can all learn, and it’s one that can transform how we live
